6 New K-Content Coming to Netflix in November 2023

From K-dramas to an action film, Netflix has something new to offer to every K-content fan this month.

November has finally begun, and Netflix has a bunch of new offerings coming this month. But aside from new movies and TV series, there will be a slew of new Korean content that viewers will surely enjoy. From the K-dramas Daily Dose of Sunshine and My Demon to the reality TV Comedy Royale, there’s a show for everyone. So, check out these six new K-content coming to Netflix this November 2023.

1 Daily Dose of Sunshine

Fans are about to see a different Park Bo-Young in the new K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine. Based on the Korean web series of the same name by Lee Ra-Ha, the series will tell the story of the author’s real-life experience as a former nurse. Bo-Young will play the role of Jung Da-Eun, a nurse who gets transferred to work at the hospital’s neuropsychiatry ward.

However, she will find everything hard and awkward as this will be the first time she will be working with these patients. But despite the hardships, Da-Eun will do her best to treat them right and give them the best cure.

Aside from Bo-Young, the cast of Daily Dose of Sunshine includes Yeon Woo-Jin as Don Go-Geun, Jang Dong-Yoon as Song Yoo-Chan, and Lee Jung-Eun as Song Hyo-Shin. This slice-of-life drama will be released on November 3.

2 Persona: Sulli

Fans of the late Sulli will again see and hear their idol’s voice in Sulli’s posthumous documentary, Persona: Sulli, a second season of Netflix’s anthology series, Persona. The show will be divided into two parts: the short film 4: Clean Island and the documentary Dear Jinri.

Before Sulli met her untimely demise in October 2019, she played the role of the main character for the short film 4: Clean Island. The film follows the story of 4 a woman who wants to live on an island. Clean Island is known to be the most pristine place in the world. But before entering the area, she has to confess all her sins to a pig at the checkpoint. Aside from Sulli, the film also stars Hwang Mi-Young and Park Gabi.

Dear Jinri, alternatively, will feature the life of Sulli in front and behind the camera. Here, she shared her thoughts as a woman in her 20s and how her real-life persona differed from the idol fans knew. This will also include her last interview before her death. According to reports, Sulli finished the filming of Persona: Sulli before she died of suicide. She was 25. Persona: Sulli will be released on November 13.

3 Cheer Up

The 2022 K-drama Cheer Up is now making its way to Netflix. The mystery campus romance follows the story of the Yonhee University student Do Hae-Yi. Though smart and diligent, she has no choice but to prioritize making money over going to school due to her family’s poor financial situation. She then joins the cheering squad, Theia, and once again enjoys the experience of being in a university.

Here, she meets Bae Young-Woong, a former Theia member and a Yonhee University alumnus. Opposite Hae-Yi’s life situation, Young-Woong is well-off and supports the cheering squad financially.

Han Ji-Hyun and Yang Dong-Geun lead Cheer Up, along with Bae In-Hyuk, Kim Hyun-Jin, Jang Gyu-Ri, and Lee Eun-Saem. Though Netflix has yet to reveal when the series will be released, it is scheduled to stream this month.

4 Believer 2

Cho Jin-Woong and Cha Seung-Won are back in the sequel movie Believer 2. Following the success of Believer in 2018, Netflix confirmed the follow-up movie’s production in 2022. Here, Detective Jo Won-Ho investigates the disappearance of Rak after Brian’s incarceration while trying to get into the core of an elusive drug cartel.

Directed by Baek Jong-Yul, the first film’s original actors Cho Jin-Woong, Cha Seung-Won, Han Hyo-Joo, Oh Seung-Hoon, Kim Dong-Young, and Lee Joo-Young return to Believer 2. It will be released on November 17.

5 My Demon

Kim Yoo-Jung and Song Kang will lead the upcoming K-drama My Demon. This fantasy rom-com follows the story of a heiress, Do Do-Hee, who has a demon-like attitude, and a real demon, Jung Ho-Won. As the daughter of a chaebol, Do-Hee trusts no one and is even cynical about love.

However, things are about to change when she meets Ho-Won, who has been making dangerous but sweet deals with humans. Ho-Won will accept Do-Hee’s offer, and the two will enter a contractual marriage.

Aside from Kim Yoo-Jung and Song Kang, My Demon will feature Lee Sang Yi and Lee Yoon Ji. My Demon will be released on November 24.

6 Comedy Royale

After seeing these K-dramas, a documentary, and a movie, it’s time to laugh with the new Netflix reality TV series, Comedy Royale. The show will feature a new comedy battle like no other, dubbed to defeat the likes of other Korean reality competitions like Physical: 100 and Devil’s Plan, among others.

This battle royale will introduce 20 of the funniest Korean personalities who will vie to be the most hilarious comedian in the country. Five of them will be entertainment legends, while the rest are newcomers who will test their comedy chops. The winner will then have a chance to have their own solo show. Comedy Royale will premiere on November 28.
