X-Men '97 Former Showrunner Beau DeMayo To Reveal "The Whole Truth" On His OnlyFans Page

After Marvel broke its silence on Beau DeMayo's firing, the former X-Men '97 showrunner revealed "the whole truth" would be heard on his OnlyFans page.

Five months after Beau DeMayo’s surprising firing a week before X-Men ‘97’s release, Marvel finally broke its silence following the former showrunner’s claim that his Season 2 credits had been removed. The studio cited “egregious” findings that led to the series creator’s untimely dismissal, but DeMayo seemed to have more revelations to make after tweeting, “The truth will be revealed.” Two weeks after taking a break from social media, the controversial writer-producer is back and reveals “the whole truth” will be heard on his OnlyFans page.

After his last post on August 16, DeMayo returned on X on August 31 to thank his fans for their love, support, and patience. At the time, he teased he had “something in the works” that he would unveil “next week.” That time has finally come, and in his latest tweet, he shared a link to his OnlyFans page, where he would probably reveal everything about his firing.

“The only place you’ll hear the whole truth,” he wrote. “Thank you for all the love and support.”

However, fans must subscribe for $9.99 a month to see his posts. This move is met with mixed reactions on social media, with many can’t believe that they have to pay to hear DeMayo’s side of the story about his Marvel firing.

User @REDACTEDSpider said that the catch to know the “truth” was behind a $10 firewall. “Get f*cking real,” they said.

@iKenny_J believed DeMayo might only hide the “whole truth” on his beef with Marvel and refused to hear it. “Move on already,” they continued.

@redHudson8 couldn’t help but wonder why DeMayo chose OnlyFans to reveal his story, considering it was “behind a paywall.” Though they praised his writing work for X-Men ‘97, saying it was some of the best in Marvel history, his move was still puzzling for them.

Why did Marvel fire Beau DeMayo as X-Men '97’s showrunner?

Before taking a social media break, DeMayo alleged that Marvel removed his X-Men '97 Season 2 credits due to his gay-themed Instagram post to celebrate Pride Month in June. The post featured fan art of Cyclops as himself. After a couple of days, he revealed that he received a letter notifying him about the removal of his credits, which he described as the latest in a "troubling pattern" of issues he faced while working on the animated series and the upcoming Blade reboot.

Marvel then issued a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, dismissing DeMayo’s claim. The statement emphasized that the decision to fire him and remove his credits, despite completing his work for the second season, followed an internal investigation. “Given the egregious nature of the findings, we severed ties with him immediately, and he has no further affiliation with Marvel,” it read.

Sources also mentioned that the two parties had reached an agreement regarding making tweets about the series, which DeMayo had occasionally done to discuss new episodes after his exit. According to these sources, his credits were removed in light of these violations. While the reasons for his termination and the internal investigations have yet to be revealed, insiders alleged that they were related to sexual misconduct.

DeMayo’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, then issued a statement to deny the misconduct allegations made against his client. As someone who has handled major wrongful termination in Hollywood for the past few years and has lengthy experience, Freedman said that Disney’s playbook “is always the same.”

“Family friendly on the outside, but secretly attempting to plant illegal unconscionable items in contracts that silence the truth and stop the employee/customer from asserting basic constitutional rights,” he said (via Variety).

By the looks of it, this won’t be the last time fans will hear from DeMayo about his Marvel exit. Although many question his choice of platform, there's no denying that there's still a huge interest in hearing his side of the story.
