What is Wind Breaker Season 2 about?
The anime is based on the Wind Breaker manga series written and illustrated by Satoru Nii, which debuted in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket in 2021. As of September 2023, 13 volumes have been published. The series was among AnimeJapan 2022‘s most desired works to receive an anime adaptation. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in North America, and print copies were published in the region recently.
Wind Breaker Season 2 will adapt the manga's KEEL Arc, which will follow the Bofurin first-years going against the KEEL. Kodansha USA provided a description for Wind Breaker:
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s from Fuurin High School, a school of near-dropout degenerates known only for their brawling strength. And in a town known for its territorial disputes, Haruka’s got only one goal—become the hero his town deserves.
