Most of the gaming community and Grand Theft Auto fans are upset that there is no news about the second GTA 6 trailer from Rockstar Games. Many were hoping that Rockstar would announce the release date of GTA 6 Trailer #2 on November 22, 2024, with all the moon theory and speculation, but there was no update for the highly-anticipated open world action adventure game. Now, wild new reports have lifted fans' hope that the next trailer would be released by the end of this year.
The first GTA 6 trailer was released in early December 2023, but since then, it's been radio silence from the developer. As a result, gamers have been trying to scape as much information as they can from hints and teasers, comments from former developers, Take-Two Interactive earnings calls, and rumors shared online. With almost a year since the first trailer was released, fans have high hopes for the second one to come out anytime soon now, but Rockstar hasn't confirmed when it will be released.
However, GTA fans are now looking forward to one date: December 3, 2024. This is based on the wild new report that claims that Sony has secured exclusive GTA 6 PS5, PS5 Pro marketing rights.
Will GTA 6 Trailer 2 come out during the PlayStation event?
Many have brought up the idea of Sony potentially coinciding the release of PS5 Pro with GTA 6 marketing activities. Back in February 2024, analysts expected as much, but nothing has been officially confirmed. However, according to a few outlets, this is actually true, not just mere speculation. One of them is tech YouTuber RedGamingTech, who took it to X (formerly Twitter) to claim that "Sony is going to use GTA6 for heavy marketing of the PS5 Pro."
Gaming YouTuber TGG also brought up the rumor that Sony gained marketing rights for GTA 6, and that they "may be hosting an event next week," on December 3. Potentially, GTA 6 Trailer 2 would be released with the PlayStation promotion, but since we can't verify the authenticity of these reports, we advise taking this with a grain of salt. It's likely that both outlets' sources simply echoed the speculations analysts brought up about GTA 6 and PS5 Pro, but these claims are considered rumors until we get official word.
As GTAVI_Countdown pointed out, the "Play Has No Limits” showed the teaser. According to insider billbil-kun, "fresh news are coming and many stuff are being prepared behind the scenes."
It's worth noting that December 3 is the 30th anniversary of PlayStation – the first PlayStation console launched on December 3, 1994. It's also almost exactly the one-year anniversary of the first GTA 6 trailer. While this is just a rumor, we wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be true; it's definitely more believable than the ridiculous moon theory. The 2024 Game Awards will also happen next month, so early December 2024 would be a good time to showcase PS5 Pro's hardware capabilities while surprising fans with a new GTA 6 trailer.
