Rinne takes the spotlight in the latest character trailer for Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? anime.

On Wednesday, the staff for the TV anime adaptation of Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? (Japanese: Naze Boku no Sekai wo Dare mo Oboeteinainoka?) light novel series has announced that the fantasy series will begin broadcasting on July 13, 2024. The composer and theme song artists for the anime's music were also revealed during the announcement, as well as the fifth character trailer featuring Rinne, who's voiced by Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). Akiyoshi Yasuda (Real Girl) is the music composer, and the Japanese metal band Unlucky Morpheus are performing the opening theme song Sekai Rinne (World Reincarnation). As for the ending theme songs, the first one, Togirenaide (Don't Stop) is being performed by SUSU; the second ending theme song, Ai, Amnesia (Love, Amnesia) is performed by URBANGARDE; and the third ending theme song, UMBRA, is performed by ELFENSJóN.

The main staff of the anime includes: Tatsuma Minamikawa (Pon no Michi, The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess) as the director, Satoru Sugisawa (Love After World Domination) as the series screenwriter, and Hiromi Kato (The Kingdoms of Ruin) as the character designer. Studio Project No. 9 is in producing its animation. Additional staff includes:

What is Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? about?

The TV anime series is based on the Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? fantasy light novel series written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Neco. Sezane is also known for God’s Game We Play and Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World series. The light novels were serialized under Kadokawa's Media Factory Bunko J Imprint from 2017 to 2020. It also received a manga adaptation illustrated by Akiran, which has been ongoing in Monthly Comic Alive magazine since 2017. The manga is being distributed by BookWalker online.

Kadokawa provided a plot description for Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?:

War between the five races on earth – the humans, the “Demonic Race”, the “Wild God Race”, the “Spirit Race” and the “Phantom Beast Race”- has ended in the victory of humans. It is said that “Prophet Sid” had sealed the other four races in the black pyramid now called “Crypts”. Kai’s job is to watch the crypts and make sure that there is no change. He is also training to save humans when the other races break the seal and come back to this world. The crypts looked quiet today…but after Kai felt the world bending in front of his eye…everything changed. “World Rebirth” was activated…!! Now Kai is in a totally different world where no one knows him. But he remembers everyone!
