The official X account of HJ Novels has announced that an anime adaptation of Mashikima Suzuki's Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! light novel series is in the works. The post reads (translated in English): "Elf is crazy about Japanese culture!? A very popular parallel world ⇔ modern romantic comedy fantasy!". The announcement did not specify the format of the anime, but it'll likely be a TV anime adaptation.

The Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! light novel series, written by Makishima Suzuki, originally began as a story in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2017, where it's still ongoing. The first print novel volume was released by Hobby Japan in May 2019 with illustrations by Yappen. Hobby Japan published Volume 9 of the series on October 19, and J-Novel Club published Volume 7 in English on December 21.

Shimo Aono made a manga adaptation of the isekai story in Comic Fire in December 2018, and Hobby Japan published the ninth volume of the manga on Thursday. J-Novel Club published Volume 7 of the manga in English on March 8.

J-Novel Club shared a plot description for Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!:
