Jo Jung-suk (Hospital Playlist, Oh My Ghost) is set to make a special appearance in Netflix's Weak Hero Class 2, the sequel to Weak Hero Class 1, the coming-of-age action/thriller based on the 2018 Naver webtoon Weak Hero by Seopass and Kim Jin-seok (Razen). The 44-year-old actor's special appearance was reported by News1 (via Naver) ahead of the highly-anticipated season's premiere on Netflix in Q2 2025.

A Netflix representative also confirmed the news with a brief statement: “Jo Jung Suk will be making a special appearance in Weak Hero Class 2. Please kindly understand that we cannot reveal details about his role or screen time at this moment. More information will be shared later.”

Jo Jung-suk has a longstanding connection with Weak Hero Class 2 director Han Ju-hee, so his special appearance in the sequel stems from that. They previously worked together on the 2019 film Hit-and-Run Squad. Jung-suk also starred Pilot, a 2024 comedy film produced by Shotcake, the company co-led by Han Jun-hee.
