Two years ago, Riot Games released a TV show called Arcane which was based on their extremely popular MOBA League of Legends game. Soon after its release, the TV show became an instant hit among fans as it attracted a huge crowd to both League of Legends as well as Riot Games. Recently, fans have been asking Riot Games many questions regarding the prospect of another movie or TV show based on a game coming soon.
This might include a movie based on different stories in LoL or VALORANT since Arcane was also recently confirmed for a second season. However, as per a reputable leaker, it looks like there might be a movie coming that is currently under development and will be based on VALORANT.
As per the information shared on Twitter by a popular leaker known as @KLaboratories, a movie based on the popular VALORANT game is set to release in 2025. The leaker also inserted a link on their Twitter post to a YouTube live stream that will release on October 13, 2024, with what looks like it might be a thumbnail for the trailer.
Moreover, the leaker also stated that the movie will be developed by Tencent and is currently under production. They further claimed that the film would be much different from Arcane and is set to be more similar to the cinematic that was launched in order to celebrate the Chinese release of VALORANT. This is a radical departure from Arcane, which was developed by French studio Fortiche, in which Riot Games now holds a controlling share.
Multiple Western studios have designed and brought about the amazing cinematics of VALORANT. However, it is important to note that Riot Games has not yet confirmed the prospect of a movie based on VALORANT being developed as of yet, so don’t take this information seriously. The developers are yet to confirm anything on the subject. Nevertheless, a movie based on VALORANT is exactly what we need right now!
