Ahead of its January 2025 premiere in Japan, the official website and accounts of Unnamed Memory series have released a new teaser trailer and key visual for its previously-announced second anime season, officially titled Unnamed Memory Act.2. Studio ENGI will return to produce the animation of the sequel, with Kazuya Miura (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!) as director. The new teaser, which you can watch below, begins with Tinasha saying, “He will never reach that day.”

The teaser trailer confirms that Yoshiki Nakajima is set to reprise his role as Oscar, and Atsumi Tanezaki will return as Tinasha. New visuals for their characters were revealed along with the teaser trailer and visual:

The first season of Unnamed Memory anime began broadcasting on April 9, 2024, and ran for 12 episodes before it concluded on June 25. The second season was announced after the broadcast of the Season 1 finale. Deko Akao (Komi Can't Communicate) is confirmed to be the series composer of Season 2, with Chika Noumi (Kemono Michi: Rise Up) in charge of character designs, and Akito Matsuda (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions) on the music.

What is Unnamed Memory about?
Unnamed Memory anime is based on the fantasy light novel series written by Furumiya Kuji, which originated in the novel-publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in September 2012. ASCII Media Works acquired the series, and published it with illustrations by Chibi under their Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint, and six volumes were released between January 2019 to April 2021. In September 2020, a manga adaptation illustrated by Naoki Koshimizu began serialization, and as of August 2023, five tankōbon volumes have been published.
