Under Ninja anime has been dropping major details about its upcoming release, hyping up the viewers with its new story to tell. After recently revealing its additional cast members, it has unveiled a new preview, a trailer, and an opening theme.
Under Ninja is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kengo Hanazawa. It started its serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in July 2018. Come September 2021, its anime adaptation was formally announced, produced by Tezuka Productions with Satoshi Kuwabara at the helm.
The anime’s official website has dropped several announcements about the series today. The first is the trailer and the preview still that give a glimpse of Under Ninja’s main characters. It begins with a number of soldiers going on a mission to look for the ninjas and then features Kato, Kuro Kumogakure, Kawado, Sasama, Foreigner, and Onikobe.
“There’s a Japanese proverb: If you throne a stone, you’ll hit a ninja. You didn’t know who you hit it’s everywhere, but no one knows,” the narrator says. You can watch the trailer below.
The website also announced Under Ninja’s opening theme, Hyper, by Krois. The catchy song is played as the background music in the trailer.
Who is in the cast of Under Ninja?
In addition, Under Ninja also revealed the new voice actor who would join the series. Koichi Soma will be the voice behind Ozu, a ninja working at the Nerima City Office's help desk. Other cast members who will be in the anime are:

What is Under Ninja about?
Under Ninja follows the story of the ninja organization in Japan dismantled by the GHQ after the Pacific War. Despite their disappearance, the ninjas still exist in secret, and 200,000 of them still live in Japan today, hiding and working underground for both the public and private sectors.
Some elite ninjas have luckily continued their practice, while others can’t find work, including Kuro. But despite living the life of a NEET, he receives a “serious ninja assignment” to infiltrate a high school with the latest high-tech equipment. You can read Under Ninja’s synopsis below:
When and where to watch Under Ninja?
Under Ninja will premiere on October 5 on TBS and will have an additional broadcast on October 6 on BS11. With the new story this upcoming anime offers, this one will definitely be a must-see.
