Following the premiere of the 25th and final episode of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 in Japan on Monday, the official website and social media accounts for the isekai anime series announced that Season 3 is officially coming. A festive visual for Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 3 was released, but additional details, such as release date, additional cast, and production staff, haven't been revealed yet.

C2C produced the animation for the first season of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, which aired from July to September 2021. The second season by J.C. Staff premiered in January 2024, and ran for two consecutive cours. Season 2 was directed by Shinji Ishihira (Log Horizon), and Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) worked on the series composition while Yukie Suzuki was in charge of the character designs.
What is Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy about?
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy TV anime is based on the light novels by Kei Azumi and Mitsuaki Matsumoto, and the first season of the anime roughly covered the first four volumes of the series. Alphapolis published the series since May 2013. Hanashi Media licensed the light novels for an English series. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by Kotara Kino and it has been serialized online via AlphaPolis' manga website since 2015.

Outside of Asia, you can watch all the released episodes of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Seasons 1 and 2 on Crunchyroll. The anime is currently airing on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and MBS across Japan. In Southeast Asia and South Asia, Medlialink holds the broadcast rights for the series. Viewers can watch Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 on Medialink's YouTube channel, Ani-One. However, the isekai anime can only be streamed with an Ani-One Ultra Membership.
