What is Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 about?
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy is based on the light novels by Kei Azumi and Mitsuaki Matsumoto, and the first season of the anime roughly covered the first four volumes of the series. If Season 2 is based on the next four chapters, it's likely that we will see Makoto enroll as a student at the Rotsgard academy, where he's surprised to find out that he's qualified to become a teacher himself. Due to his difficult, combat-focused lessons, his students don't get along with him, but he eventually earns their respect. In Volume 7 of the light novels, a major event happens: a school festival, in which Makoto's students join a fighting tournament. It's likely that we will see these plot points unfold in the second season.
Crunchyroll shared a story description for the fantasy adventure:
Makoto Misumi was just an average teenager who suddenly was summoned to another world as a "hero." But the goddess of this world called him ugly and took his hero status away from him, then sent him to the ends of the world. He meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and many other non-human races in the wastelands. Makoto manages to show promise in the use of magic and fighting, which he wouldn't have been able to do in his former world. He has numerous encounters, but will he be able to survive this new world? A fantasy where a guy who gods and humanity had abandoned tries to reset his life in this new world is about to begin!
