Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 is one of the best isekai series streaming in the Winter 2024 anime season, and fans are excited to continue Makoto Misumi's adventures in a magical world. The official website of the anime has revealed a teaser trailer, preview stills, and official synopsis for Tsukimichi: Moonlight Fantasy Season 2 Episode 4, which is titled Why Did I Become a Teacher?, and it looks like Makoto surprisingly takes a teacher's recruitment exam. The fourth episode of the new season is scheduled to premiere on Monday, January 29. Check out the teaser trailer:

The official synopsis for Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 Episode 4 reads:
After a long journey, Makoto and Shiki arrive in Lotzgard. First, they decided to gather information about the city in preparation for the opening of Kuzunoha Shokai's new store. However, soon, the two of them come across a scene where the students of Lotzgard Central Academy and Lyria, a girl who works at a restaurant, are arguing. Makoto becomes concerned about Lyria, who casts cold eyes on those around her, so he helps her, but... After that, Makoto prepares for the school's entrance exam, but it turns out that the exam he is taking is a teacher recruitment exam! ?
J.C. Staff is animating the isekai anime, and it's directed by Shinji Ishihira (Log Horizon). Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil) worked on the series composition while Yukie Suzuki is in charge of the character designs.
What is Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy about?
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy is based on the light novels by Kei Azumi and Mitsuaki Matsumoto, and the first season of the anime roughly covered the first four volumes of the series. Crunchyroll shared a plot description for the series:
Makoto Misumi was just an average teenager who suddenly was summoned to another world as a "hero." But the goddess of this world called him ugly and took his hero status away from him, then sent him to the ends of the world. He meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and many other non-human races in the wastelands. Makoto manages to show promise in the use of magic and fighting, which he wouldn't have been able to do in his former world. He has numerous encounters, but will he be able to survive this new world? A fantasy where a guy who gods and humanity had abandoned tries to reset his life in this new world is about to begin!
