Today, it was announced that Yura Urushibara’s dark fantasy manga series Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise is getting a TV anime adaptation, which is scheduled to premiere next year. The anime is officially titled Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood, and the first teaser trailer and visual were revealed alongside three main cast members of the conflict between the "Oni" and "Momotaro" clans. The trailer gives us a first look at the anime's protagonist, Shiki Ichinose, in action as well as the Oni dwelling inside of him. It's definitely one of the reddest trailers you'll ever see; watch it here:

What is Tougen Anki about?
The dark fantasy anime is based on the Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise manga series written and illustrated by Yura Urushibara. The series has been serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since June 2020, with the 20th collected volume set scheduled to release in Japan on May 8. There are already 3 million copies in circulation, and Yen Press is set to release an English-translated version of the manga starting on September 17.
