After 10 years, Kurokata and KeG’s light novel series, The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic: Main Recovery Team Member Running Through the Battlefield, will finally have an anime adaptation by Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation. Usato and the rest of the gang will take their adventures on the small screen this time, and the anime has dropped its second trailer. Aside from showing what fans are about to see, it also reveals the series’ cast, opening theme, and release date. You can check the preview below:
The trailer begins by showing the magic circle where Usato, Suzune, and Kazuki get transported into a different world while the ending theme, Green Jade by ChouCho, plays in the background. The three have been summoned to become “Heroes” as the king asks for help to face the Demon Lord’s army invading the kingdom. The next scene shows Usato running while being chased by three animals. Rose, the rescue team captain, then appears, carrying Usato in one hand.
As the training between the two begins, Usato’s strength continuously grows. The preview then introduces Suzune and Kazuki as they prepare for what’s to come next. It also shows Blurin, Usato’s bear partner. Next is Amako, the beast girl, looking shy as she’s trying to hide herself. From there, the battle begins as Rose throws Usato to fight a huge white bear while the opening theme, Cure by Waterspeed, plays.

What is The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic about?
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic follows the story of Usato, Suzune, and Kazuki as they are summoned to another world after being engulfed by a magic circle. The three are asked to be the heroes who will counter the Demon Lord’s army. However, among the three, Suzune and Kazuki are the only ones who can be heroes, while Usato just gets caught up in the situation.
But things are about to change when it’s revealed that Usato possesses healing magic, leading Rose to take him away. Little did he know that he will undergo a hellish training.

Usato Mikuri, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home when he is suddenly engulfed by a magic circle along with the student council president, Suzune Inukami, and his classmate, Kazuki Ryuusen. When they come to, they find themselves in a different world. The three of them were supposedly summoned as “Heroes” to counter the Demon Lord’s army invading the kingdom, but only Suzune and Kazuki have the aptitude for being heroes. Usato was just caught up in the situation! However, the situation changes drastically when it becomes clear that Usato has an affinity for “healing magic.” Rose, who claims to be the leader of the Rescue Squad, appears and forcibly takes Usato away. What awaited Usato there was days of training beyond his imagination in the form of a hellish ordeal—!
Based on the light novel series written by Kurokata and illustrated by KeG, it started its serialization in 2014 on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro. Media Factory later acquired it and published 12 volumes from 2016 to 2020. Reki Kugayama then illustrated its manga adaptation, which has been serialized since 2017, with 12 tankobon volumes.
