The story of The Seven Deadly Sins continues with the new sequel anime series, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse. And to give fans a glimpse of what’s to come, the anime has released its first official trailer, introducing its new main character, Percival, who everyone sees as a threat.

Based on the Japanese manga by Nakaba Suzuki, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse is the sequel to the original manga, The Seven Deadly Sins, also by Suzuki. It just started its serialization in 2021 and has already collected 13 tankōbon volumes as of August 2023. Knowing how famous this series is, its anime adaptation by Telecom Animation Film is about to come.

The anime’s official website has dropped the new trailer for The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, starting with Ironside saying Percival (Death) threatens their liege. “That child is going to destroy the world,” he continues. Not only Percival but the entire four knights of the apocalypse are prophesized to damage the Earth.

From there, a cute and innocent Percival is revealed, surprised that he’s accused of going to destroy the world. Shin then tells him to complain to the prophet, Ironside, who happens to be Percival’s father. But after what Ironside did to his grandfather, Varghese, he doesn’t consider him his dad anymore. The preview also features the three other knights, Gawain (Famine), Lancelot (War), and Tristan Liones (Pestilence).

The anime also reveals the opening theme song of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Up to Me! By Little Glee Monster. The track’s fast-paced beat perfectly fits the beautiful journey that Percival and his group are about to begin.
