The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 has released a new trailer along with a key visual for Part 2, which is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2024. Cour 2 of the fantasy anime will adapt the Selection Judgment arc of the Japanese light novel series written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. The opening theme song is titled Maou and is performed by BURNOUT SYNDROMES. Animation studio Silver Link is animating the series. The production team also revealed additional cast information: Nao Toyama, Toshihiko Seki, and Aoi Yuki are joining the Japanese voice cast as Arcana, Ahid Alovo Agartz, and Militia. The staff of Cour 2 includes:

The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 began broadcasting in January 2023 but was pushed back to July 2023 due to production issues. The sequel made a major cast change, as Tatsuhisa Suzuki was replaced by Yuichiro Umehara as the voice of Anos.
What is The Misfit of Demon King Academy about?
The Misfit of Demon King Academy written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma began as a web novel in April 2017 on the Japanese novel self-publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, and started serialization in Dengeki Bunko in 2018. The series received a manga adaptation by Kayaharuka in MangaUp! magazine. The manga has been put on indefinite hiatus after Kayaharuka passed away last year, after battling pancreatic cancer.
