The new trailer for The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies also previews the anime's beautiful characters.

The anime adaptation of The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies manga series has released a new trailer that previews the romantic fantasy series' opening theme song, Mikansei Rendezvous by Lezel. The ending theme, Itsumo Futari ga Ii ne, is performed by the main cast members Yuki Ono and Mai Nakahara as their characters Mira and Kyakuya, respectively. The trailer shows the anime's beautiful characters, fantastic action sequences, and magical romance.

The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies is scheduled to premeire on July 9, 2024. Studio Bones is producing the animation, with director Akiyo Ohashi (The Stranger by the Shore) helming the series. Yuniko Ayana is in charge of the series composition, Haruko Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) is on character designs, and MAYUKO (Ranking of Kings) is composing the music.

The The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies anime is based on the romantic fantasy 4-koma manga series of the same title (Japanese: Katsute Mahō Shōjo to Aku wa Tekitai Shiteita) by Cocoa Fujiwara. The series was serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine from September 2013 to March 2015, with its chapters compiled into three tankōbon volumes.
