The anime adaptation of Cocoa Fujiwara's The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies manga series has released a new trailer and revealed that the three voice actors from the drama CDs will reprise their roles for the anime series. The romantic comedy series is scheduled to premiere in Japan on TOKYO MX, AT-X, and BS11 in July 2024. Studio Bones is producing the animation with Akiyo Ohashi (Assassination Classroom, Bungo Stray Dogs) directing the anime. The anime is based on the The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies (Japanese: Katsute Mahō Shōjo to Aku wa Tekitai Shiteita) by Cocoa Fujiwara, which was published from 2013 to 2015 in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker shonen manga series. Yen Press is developing the English version of the series.
