The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 has released an updated version of the anime's main visual, now featuring the super elite agent, "John Smith". The dark fantasy isekai anime series had an early screening at this year's Anime Expo before it began broadcasting on HIDIVE earlier this month. Check out the updated visual below:

What is The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 about?
The isekai anime is based on The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) Japanese light novel series by Daisuke Aizawa. Enterbrain has been publishing the series with Tozai's illustrations since 2018, and there are currently 5 volumes in English. The light novels were licensed in English by Yen Press, and the anime is currently adapting Volume 3, and you can read its synopsis here: '

The first four episodes of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 are now streaming on HIDIVE, and a new episode airs every Wednesday. The second season is confirmed to have 12 episodes total (the first season had 20 episodes), and the fifth episode is scheduled to premiere on November 1.
