The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World TV anime will begin broadcasting in the Winter 2025 anime season!

The production team of the TV anime adaptation of Umiharu's The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World manga, which is itself an adaptation of author Hifumi Asakura and illustrator Yamakawa's Arafō Otoko no Isekai Tsūhan Seikatsu light novel series, has revealed the first trailer for the anime. It was also confirmed that the isekai anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2025. Details about the anime's staff, cast, and opening theme song have also been revealed.

The trailer introduces protagonist Ken'ichi (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) and other characters of The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World, which should remind isekai fans of Campfire Cooking in Another World With My Absurd Skill because of how the middle-aged hero uses his online shopping power. East Fish Studio is in charge of the animation, with Yoshihide Yuuzumi (Yurumates3Dei, Onee-chan ga Kita) as director. Hiroyuki Moriguchi (key animator for Black Clover and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) is the character designer while Masanao Akahoshi (Future Card Buddyfight, A Certain Magical Index) is in charge of the scripts of the series. Ryō Tanaka (A Galaxy Next Door, Solo Leveling) is working as the sound director, and Kujira Yumemi (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible; As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill) is the music composer at AniTone. The anime's opening theme song GIVE & TAKE is performed by ASAKA.

What is The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World anime about?

The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World anime is based on the light novel series written by Hifumi Asakura and illustrated by Yamakawa. The series was acquired by SB Creative and Tugikuru Corporation who started publishing it under their Tugikuru Books light novel imprint in May 2018. The manga adaptation by Umiharu was launched in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine in April 2019, and it was published digitally in Square Enix's Manga UP! Global and Comikey. The series was also released on Kadokawa's BookWalker Global Store.

Manga UP! Global shared a description for the series:

Ken'ichi, a single man who's almost 40, is suddenly transferred to another world. As he navigates his way through the dangerous forests of that world, he realizes that he can use a huge online shopping site. Ken'ichi aims to use his cheat ability to live a slow life in another world!

The manga concluded its main story on May 17, and two side story chapters were published on July 18 and August 17, respectively. The manga's first compiled book volume was published by Square Enix in October 2019, and Volume 7 on February 27. The eighth and final volume of the manga is scheduled to release on December 27.
