The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World light novel series, written by Hifumi Asakura and illustrated by Yamakawa, is officially getting an anime adaptation. The protagonist Ken'ichi will be voiced by Junichi Suwabe, the Japanese voice actor behind Shota Aizawa in My Hero Academia; Yami Sukehiro in Black Clover; and Shoei Barou in Blue Lock among other anime roles.
Other details about the anime's staff, cast, and animation studio will be announced at a later time, but it was already confirmed that it's set to premiere next year. What is The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper about?
The anime is based on Hifumi Asakura and Yamakawa's The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World (Japanese: Arafō Otoko no Isekai Tsūhan Seikatsu) isekai light novel series. Originally published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from September 2017 to June 2021, the series was later acquired by SB Creative and Tugikuru Corporation who started publishing it under their Tugikuru Books light novel in May 2018.
Square Enix's Monthly GFantasy magazine also published a manga adaptation illustrated by Umiharu. The English version of the manga was licensed by Comikey and is also published on Square Enix's Manga Up! Global service.
