The official X account of The Angel Spoils Me Rotten has announced today that Season 2 is in the works. The announcement was made along with the release of a new visual and promotional video, which recaps the first season of the romance/slice of life anime. The Angel Spoils Me Rotten Season 1 aired from January 7 to March 25, 2023, and it was animated by Project No. 9 with Kenichi Imaizumi directing the series. Keiichiro Oochi wrote the scripts while Noguchi served as character designer, and Moe Hyuuga as the music composer.

The anime is based on a 2018 light novel series of the same title (Japanese: お隣の天使様にいつの間にか駄目人間にされていた件, Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto .It was originally published by Shosetsuka ni Naro before being acquired by SB Creative, which released eight volumes of the series under their GA Bunko label since June 2019. A manga adaptation written by Suzu Yuki and illustrated by Wan Shibata was serialized in Square Enix's Manga UP! since January 2020.
