During an early screening of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond movie in November 2022, it was announced that the third season of the isekai anime series will premiere on Japan's Nippon Television in Spring 2024.

With the release window approaching soon, the production team revealed more information regarding Season 3's release date, confirming that the third season will premiere in April 2024. In addition to that, they also confirmed that the next season will be running for two consecutive cours, so fans can expect Season 3 to have approximately 24 new episodes to arrive this year. This information was announced in December 2023, during a special stage named Tensura 10th Live to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the anime.

The announcement came with a visual showing protagonist Rimuru facing off against Hinata Sakaguchi of the Ten Great Saints. An exact release date hasn't been revealed yet, but we can expect the production team of the anime to reveal that soon.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Trailer

On December 16, 2023, a new trailer for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 was released on the anime's official website. The trailer shows various shots of Hinata attacking and riding on horseback as battles get heated up, but it doesn't reveal much of the plot. The trailer confirms the new season's release window, which is enough to get fans hyped for the isekai anime's return.

However, there were a few complains about the quality of the animation shown in the trailer. Season 3 is animated by studio Eight Bit, which also worked on the The Irregular at Magic High School and Blue Lock anime projects, but fans online criticized how some of the shots in the trailer are not impressive.

"The characters are barely moving and the animation looks stiff as hell. Tensura deserves way more than this," YouTuber @PCVP4729 said, while Redditor u/_Velgrynd wrote: "I'm really hoping they picked the worst shots and frames out of the season to be in this trailer cause where the hell is the movement."
