In the previous episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Rimuru met with the old undead cardinal, Adalmann, in order to learn more about the Western Holy Church before their upcoming conflict. The official website of the anime has revealed preview stills and the synopsis for the seventh episode of Season 3, which is titled Saint and Demon Clash, hinting that Rimuru and Hinata will finally be meeting on the battlefield after several episodes of deliberation and preparation.
Based on the synopsis, it looks like HInata Sakaguchi may find herself a taste of home on the way to Tempest, helping to convince her that Rimuru was originally from Japan. While she may have peaceful intentions, Leonard Jester, vice-chief of the Crusaders, has plans to invade Tempest. Despite good intentions, the clash between Tempest and the Church is inevitable.

On the way to Tempest, Hinata sees the ramen and roads that Rimuru has devised and learns that Rimuru truly wants humans and monsters to coexist. However, against her will, her subordinate Leonard invades Tempest.
The next episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which is Episode 55 overall, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, May 17 at 23:00 JST. Studio Eight Bit is animating the third season with director Atsushi Nakayama directing the series. Toshizo Nemoto is in charge of the series composition while Ryoma Ebata is working on character designs, and Takahiro Kishida on creature designs. Jin Iketagawa is the sound director while Hitoshi Fujima is the music composer.
What is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 about?
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is based on the isekai fantasy light novel series of the same title (Japanese: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) by author Fuse and illustrator Mitz Vah, which begins with a 37-year-old salaryman named Satoru Mikami, who's stabbed by a robber and wakes up in another world. However, the hero is reincarnated as a Slime, one of the weakest Monster classes in this strange world.
The second season of the anime is based primary on the Volumes 5 and 6 of the light novel series, and the third is covering the events of the next few volumes. In Volume 7, tensions escalate when Hinata Sakaguchi — the captain of the Crusader forces and the chief knight of the nation's Imperial Guard — sets her sights on the heroic Rimuru. Things get complicated when a priest that Rimuru sends to Lubelius is killed, but in Volume 8, which focuses mainly on a festival that's happening in Tempest.

Meanwhile, in the Holy Empire of Lubelius, home base of the monster-hating cult of Luminism, Holy Knight Captain Hinata receives a message from Rimuru. But the message is actually a fabricated declaration of war sent by some unknown party. While That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 is streaming on Netflix and Muse Asia in some Asian regions, the isekai fantasy anime series is available to stream on Crunchyroll in North America and other regions. Season 3 is confirmed to have two consecutive cours with 24 episodes total, so we can expect the isekai anime to run until September 2024. With seven episodes already out for Season 3, we can expect 17 more new episodes to arrive in the Spring and Summer 2024 anime seasons.
