That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime returned for its third season last month, and with the first five episodes already out, fans of one of the most popular isekai anime series are excited to find out what's next for Rimuru. The official website of the anime has revealed preview stills and the synopsis for the sixth episode of Season 3, which is titled Those Approaching (according to the rough English translation). Misinformation spreads among the Temple Knights of Falmuth Kingdom regarding the archbishop's death. Rimuru also has to deal with HInata Sakaguchi's impending arrival to Tempest.

Due to the spread of false information, the Temple Knights gather in the Kingdom of Falmuth, and a danger signal lights up for Diablo's capture of Falmuth. Meanwhile, Rimuru learns that Hinata has dispatched to Tempest.
The next episode of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, which is Episode 54 overall, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, May 10 at 23:00 JST. Studio Eight Bit is animating Season 3 with director Atsushi Nakayama directing the series. Toshizo Nemoto is in charge of the series composition while Ryoma Ebata is working on character designs, and Takahiro Kishida on creature designs. Jin Iketagawa is the sound director while Hitoshi Fujima is the music composer.
What is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 about?
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is based on the isekai fantasy light novel series of the same title (Japanese: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) by author Fuse and illustrator Mitz Vah, which begins with a 37-year-old salaryman named Satoru Mikami, who's stabbed by a robber and wakes up in another world. However, the hero is reincarnated as a Slime, one of the weakest Monster classes in this strange world.
Season 2 of the anime is based primary on the Volumes 5 and 6 of the light novel series, and the third is covering the events of the next few volumes. In Volume 7, tensions escalate when Hinata Sakaguchi — the captain of the Crusader forces and the chief knight of the nation's Imperial Guard — sets her sights on the heroic Rimuru. Things get complicated when a priest that Rimuru sends to Lubelius is killed, but in Volume 8, which focuses mainly on a festival that's happening in Tempest.

Meanwhile, in the Holy Empire of Lubelius, home base of the monster-hating cult of Luminism, Holy Knight Captain Hinata receives a message from Rimuru. But the message is actually a fabricated declaration of war sent by some unknown party. While That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 is streaming on Netflix and Muse Asia in some Asian regions, the isekai anime series is available to stream on Crunchyroll in North America and other regions. The third season is confirmed to have two consecutive cours with 24 episodes total, so we can expect the isekai anime to run until September 2024. With six episodes already out for Season 3, we can expect 18 more new episodes to arrive in the Spring and Summer 2024 anime seasons.
