That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream has released the opening video today ahead of its premiere at the end of this month. 8bit in charge of the OVA's animation, which is technically scheduled to premiere on November 1 JST. The opening theme song, titled Hikari Hanatasu, is performed by Takuma Terashima. The opening highlights the isekai's fantasy visuals, exciting adventures, and fast-paced combat scenes, and the upbeat music definitely match the themes of the upcoming OVA.

The 3-episode OVA is directed by Atsuhi Nakayama, while the series composition is written by Toshizo Nemoto. Ryomo Ebata is in charge of the character designs. Miho Okasaki performed the ending theme song, which is titled Kokoro Travel.
What is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Coleus’ Dream about?
Coleus' Dream is based on the short story written by Fuse that was featured in the Blu-release of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2. The OVA was announced in 2022, along with the premiere date of Season 3: Spring 2024. The TV anime isekai series is also known as Tensura among fans.
The official website of the anime reveals that in Coleus' Dream, Rimuru will take on a secret mission from the Grand Master of the Free Guild to investigate the mysterious internal conflict within the Kingdom of Coleus, a small kingdom located between the Holy Empire of Ruberius and the Kingdom of Ingrassia. Rimuru gathers his friends/generals to enter the Kingdom of Coleus, disguised themselves as regular people, becoming spies. They eventually discover a greater secret than a simple internal conflict.

Rimuru performs a special mission given to him by Yuuki Kagurazaka. The King of the Kingdom of Coleus has reached old age, and the battle for the succession of the throne among the royal family has begun. The main contenders are First Prince Sauzer, who is backed by the nobility, and Second Prince Aslan, who is backed by the local branch of the Free Guild, which has gone rogue and declared their allegiance to him. It's up to Rimuru to infiltrate the Kingdom of Coleus undercover as the Great Phantom Thief Satoru and deal with the situation while also uncovering a secret plot brewing in the shadows .
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is based on the light. novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The TV anime adaptation is based on the manga illustrated by Taiki Kawakami. In addition to the first two seasons which consist of 48 episodes, a spin-off series titled The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, was also released, and it adapted one of the manga's spin-off stories. A feature film titled Scarlet Bond was also released.
