An anime adaptation of Maybe’s Japanese manga, Tales of Wedding Rings, will finally make it to the small screens. Produced by Staple Entertainment studio, fans will soon see the animated version of Sato and Hime conquering your TV viewing to tell their different kind of love story. And to give fans a glimpse of what they’re about to see, the anime has dropped its main trailer to reveal how Sato ends up in another world and becomes the unexpected hero. You can watch the preview below:
The trailer begins with Hime saying goodbye to Sato as she has decided to leave to join the other princesses. As this makes Sato nostalgic, thinking of their times together when they were kids, he has promised to protect her even at a young age. As the portal Hime uses to go to another world remains open, Sato decides to follow her.
The next scenes show the picturesque surroundings of their new world. Alabasta, Hime’s grandfather, then shares a story about the world succumbing to the king’s dark power and his mission to get the five rings from the five princesses—Hime happens to be one of them—and to use their powers to seal away the new king.
As Hime is about to get married, a monster attacks the wedding, and she rushes to kiss Sato, making him the hero that nobody expects. From there, the preview shows the other princesses: Nephritis, the Princess of the Land of the Wind Romka and Wind Ring owner; Granato, the Princess of the Land of Fire Needakitta and Fire Ring owner; Saphir, the Princess of the Land of Water Martha and Water Ring owner; and Ambal, the Princess of the Land of Earth Idanokan and Earth Ring owner.
