Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 will finally kick off this Friday, April 18 (JST), and big announcements for the franchise's future projects at the event in Tokyo this weekend, but publisher Electronic Arts and developers Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment already teased its planned announcement today. We've known for some time now that the two developers have been working together on a new turn-based tactics game set in the Star Wars universe.
Today, EA officially revealed the game's title today, alongside a new piece of visual that should get gamers excited. The upcoming game is called Star Wars Zero Company, and the first look key art features various character types, spanning the franchise, including Mandalorians, Droids, Jedi, and more. The press release teased that the visual only shows a "few members of the elite squad under your command".
The first details will be officially revealed at the Bit Reactor Developer Panel featuring Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan on April 19 from 16:30 to 17:30 JST. Lucy James will host the panel, and it will feature lead developer Bit Reactor, along with Lucasfilm Games and Respawn Entertainment. The developers will reveal an official first look at Star Wars Zero Company.
At the time of this reporting, the compatible platforms for Star Wars Zero Company haven't been announced yet, but we can expect it to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It's possible that the game might be released for Nintendo Switch 2, since EA has been open about giving the platform more support. It's also possible that the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, since Respawn eventually made Star Wars Jedi: Survivor available for both of those platforms. However, we'll have to wait for more details at the game's panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan this Friday.
