Star Wars: Hunters is getting a PC release via Steam, Zynga and developer NaturalMotion announced. The 4v4 free-to-play arena shooter will have its Early Access on January 27, 2025, and it will also be getting a playtest next month. The playtest will run from December 13 through 16, and players can sign up to request access through the game's official Steam page. The second test will from January 10 to 13, before the Early Access launches later that month.
Star Wars: Hunters initially launched for Switch, iOS, and Android on June 4. A new battlefield called “Coruscant Underworld” will be added as well as the new Kubaz Damage Hunter Glikkin, and a cross-play and cross-platform progression, alongside its PC release on January 27.
Players can expect enhanced visuals from the Steam version of Star Wars: Hunters. Below, you can watch the announcement trailer, sharing a look at how the arenas will get a visual upgrade. The side-by-side comparisons in the video clearly show the visual improvements PC players can expect.
What is Star Wars: Hunters about?
Star Wars: Hunters features multiplayer battles in the planet of Vespaara, where high-intensity, high-stakes battles take place in "The Arena," which features backgrounds that "evoke iconic Star Wars worlds," according to Zynga. Players can select different characters but don't expect iconic ones like Ahsoka or Darth Vader to be playable here as the game instead introduces a fresh roster of new Hunters that fit into different types such as Jedi, Sith, Droids, and Bounty Hunters

Just like in other platforms where the game is available, Star Wars: Hunters will be free-to-play on Steam, as well, but of course, there will be in-game transactions, in the form of victory poses, alternate skins for each character, and Crystals that will let players unlock playable characters at a faster rate. More details about the microtransactions for the Steam version will likely be announced as we get closer to its PC launch date a couple of months from now, so stay tuned!
