Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection was officially announced during the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase today. The bundle of two original games will come with new characters, maps, and more. The Classic Collection will be released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC via Steam on March 14.

A subsequent trailer from publisher Aspyr was released along with the announcement, and it revealed the new characters that will be featured, including Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto while Jabba's Palace will be added as one of the new maps.

"Fight in iconic battles from across the Star Wars galaxy in this collection of two classic games," the Direct announcement said. "Up to 64 players can strike back against familiar faces in massive online battles. This collection includes additional playable characters such as Kit Fisto and additional maps like Jabba's Palace."

"It’s time to relive intense battles from the Star Wars galaxy in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection," the announcer said.

"Jump into thrilling firefights across massive battlefields on the ground, in the air, and in space as the Empire, Rebellion, Republic, and the Separatist Alliance.

"Choose an array of unique classes, pilot a multitude of vehicles, and play as iconic heroes and villains from multiple eras of the saga in solo, local, and online play."

Battlefront 2 will add the iconic Clone Wars villain Asajj Ventress ahead of her return in the Star Wars: Bad Batch Disney Plus series. She was a downloadable character on the original Xbox, but now, she will be part of the roster by default.

Jabba's Palace is the only map being added to the original Star Wars: Battlefront, but Battlefront 2 will get Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Bar: Citadel, Rhen Var: Harbor, and Yavin 4: Arena.

The Hero Assault Mode will also get updated, allowing players to take on the roles of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and more on maps such as Naboo and Death Star. Additionally, for the first time, Hero Assault will be playable on all ground maps with the Classic Collection.
