Ahsoka Episode 6 has finally achieved an epic moment for Star Wars fans by putting a couple of more pieces into the bigger picture as the Disney+ series nears the finale, which is scheduled to release in the first week of October. In Ahsoka, we see that the former Jedi is searching for her friend, Ezra Bridger, and her enemy, Grand Admiral Thrawn, both of whom came over from Star Wars: Rebels.

Thrawn is featured as the major villain in the entire story, so fans have been eagerly waiting for weeks to get a look at Lars Mikkelsen reprising his classic Rebels role and bringing the character into the world of live-action. Well, you’d be happy to know that the villain has finally made an epic entry into Star Wars: Ahsoka during its sixth episode, titled Far, Far Away which was just released.

Grand Admiral Thrawn made a grand entrance by marching on the scene in an echo chamber of name chants that could be heard coming from the army of Night Troopers. The audience must have also enjoyed the loud chorus, with many of them also sharing and celebrating his arrival on their social media pages. Thrawn can be seen having the same blue skin and red eyes that were seen in the promotional materials released before Ahsoka’s release.

This look of the villain was also originally described by his creator, the author Timothy Zahn during the 1991 novel called Heir to the Empire. The live-action voice of Thrawn will also surely sound a lot familiar to the Star Wars fans who have been around for a long time since it’s a well-established fact that the character will be played by the Rebels voice actor Lars Mikkelsen.

From the reactions received from fans to Thrawn’s entrance, it looks like all of it was worth the wait since several viewers praised Mikkelsen’s performance in Episode 6. Many of them called it “perfect casting” while also claiming that the evil character is far more “terrifying” in the live-action adaptation as compared to the Rebels animated series.

Ahsoka creators have been trying to build up the excitement for precisely this very moment of the season. Even the creator of Thrawn, Timothy Zahn, was eagerly waiting to see the execution of the character’s live-action adaptation. While appearing at Dragon Con 2023 recently, the creator expressed his feelings via geekywaffle on YouTube regarding the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka. You can read his entire response below:

"Very excited, especially when it's under Dave Filoni's tutelage. He'd shown back in Rebels that he understands Thrawn, understands how to write for him, understands how you defeat him. You give him something he can't control or something he doesn't know. I would always be nervous about whether the writers bringing him in would understand him enough to write properly. Filoni seems to have got it. So, I'm looking forward to see what he is doing. I know a little bit of some of the new characters, some of the new dynamic. It's going to be interesting to see."
