After three years of waiting, Squid Game Season 2 will finally hit the small screen in December 2024, a perfect gift for fans worldwide. The show is now gearing up for its second round of thrilling yet deadly games, as another set of new players put their lives at risk to win the grand prize of ₩45.6 billion, approximately $33 million. However, in addition to the new players, a new teaser features Lee Jung-jae’s return as Player 456 after winning the game in the first season.

You can watch the new Squid Game Season 2 teaser below:

The Squid Game Season 2 teaser begins by showing the number tags of new players as they join another set of deadly games. The players include Player 124, Player 380, Player 390, and Player 388. As the series’ thrilling sounds start to play in the background, Player 007 appears, followed by Player 044, Player 120, Player 124, Player 125, Player 149, Player 222, Player 246, and Player 380. Players 388 and 390 reappear.

But since their faces aren’t revealed, with only their backs facing the camera, the preview makes an exception by showing Player 456 as Jung-jae slowly turns to reveal his face. It appears that after winning the first season, Jung-jae’s Seong Gi-hun will join the Squid Game again to stop the deadly games. However, with the number of pink-masked soldiers overseeing the game and the Front Man watching, how he will do it remains to be seen.
