Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise From the Shadow- kicked off last month, and since then, it has become one of the most-watched new anime shows of the Winter 2025 season. In the previous episode, Sung Jin-woo continued his job as a miner in the dungeon, and everyone around him found his work ethic impressive. The leader even tried to recruit him full-time, but he declined his offer.
One of the memorable highlights of last Saturday's episode was the interaction between Jin-woo and the S-rank Hunter, Cha Hae-in. He remained inside the dungeon in hope of testing the power of dungeon boss, but Cha Hae-in found him outside the door during her routine check. She noticed that Jin-woo didn't have a stinking smell, and that piqued her interest.
The previous episode also showed the strike team being attacked by dungeon jackals and High Orcs, and despite the presence of many A-rank Hunters, the High Orcs were easily able to give them a hard time. The entire squad would've been wiped out if Jin-woo hadn't used his stealth to attack the High Orcs and throw them off balance.
Things got worse when the team found out that the gate was blocked by a barrier. Three of the magic users tried to dispel it, but they failed terribly. Then the situation became more desperate when another group of High Orcs appeared behind them. Son Kihoon went to the front to confront the High Orc. The dungeon boss Kargalgan took over the body of the High Orc, and he gave them an ultimatum: go with the High Orcs to meet him or get killed by the High Orcs. Son Kihoon made the rational choice and went to meet Kargalgan.
