Just when Sung Jinwoo thought that he had already completed the job-change quest after defeating Blood-Red Commander Igris in the previous episode, an unexpected new mission began. Numerous armored soldiers started to show up, and Jinwoo was evidently struggling to keep up. So, the latest preview for the upcoming Solo Leveling Episode 12, titled Arise, reveals Jinwoo’s need to complete this quest so that he could overcome his infamously weak E-Rank hunter status.
Just like the previous previews, the stills for Solo Leveling Episode 12 only feature the faces of its main characters, but they aren’t short of hints of what may happen next. After Episode 11, A Knight Who Defends an Empty Throne, ended with a major cliffhanger, it looks like the new episode will pick up from there. The first preview shows Jinwoo looking surprised as he may continue the fight against the group of soldiers despite being outnumbered.
Another still reveals the protagonist launching his attack as he tries his best to defeat the enemies all at once. Go Gunhee, the S-Rank hunter and Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association, also returns after appearing in the previous episode by talking to Woo Jinchul and Choi Jong-in about a new mission. A bloodied Jinwoo then appears, and by the looks of it, he’s lying on the ground with debris around him as the battle continues. For the last still, Sung Jin-ah looks worried for her brother as she lies on the bed and probably thinks of him.

But to officially leave his status as the weakest weapon of humanity, he has to complete the job-change quest by searching for a clue.

With the defeat of Blood-Red Commander Igris and the title of the new episode, Arise, there are theories that Jinwoo will finally make the knight his shadow soldier. Arise is the word Jinwoo uses to raise the dead and make them his shadows to fight for him. That said, major events are expected to happen in Solo Leveling Episode 12.
