Great things are coming on DEX’s way. After coming out as the breakout star of Single’s Inferno Season 2 and becoming a panelist for Single’s Inferno Season 3, the South Korean YouTuber and streamer, also known as Kim Jin-young, will star in his first-ever K-drama series.

In a statement to the South Korean news outlet iMBC (as translated by NME), the production company LG U+ Studio announced that DEX (Kim Jin-young) would be joining a slew of stars to lead the seven-part anthology series Tarot. The former UDT soldier will lead the episode Please Throw It Away.

In response to the new casting, a representative from DEX’s agency revealed that the South Korean star was “positively reviewing the offer” to play a lead in the new drama series, per OSEN (via Soompi). The show will feature seven omniverse horror episodes that delve into the mysterious events of anyone’s life. It will follow the story of each character who will receive different tarot cards, which will curse their fates.

Aside from DEX, Tarot will also star Cho Yeo-jeong (Cheat on Me If You Can), Park Ha-sun (No, Thank You), Ko Kyu-pil (Heartbeat), Seo Ji-hoon (My Lovely Liar), Lee Joo-bin (Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area), and T-ARA’s Eunjung (Love Twist). The other episode titles are Santa’s Visit, Single Locker, Phishing, Late-Night Taxi, Rent Mom, and Couple Manager.

Will there be Single’s Inferno Season 4?

Despite a successful Single’s Inferno Season 3, even surpassing the previous two seasons’ success, Netflix has yet to confirm the coming of Single’s Inferno Season 4. The third season producer Kim Jae-won told The Korea Herald that the first two seasons only garnered about 6 million viewing hours, while the third season had over 7 million viewing hours.

And though a fourth season has not yet been confirmed, Jae-won is confident that the streamer will have a positive update about it. “It is not confirmed yet, but I think Netflix is thinking positively about producing the fourth season,” he said.

Amid the complaints that the third season lacked “heartwarming scenes,” Jae-won promised to make the fourth season more touching and enjoyable. He’s also considering making Single’s Inferno spin-offs with DEX and Lee Gwan-hee in it.

He explained:

Just imagining DEX and Lee Gwan-hee appearing together (in the same program) is already interesting. With such option in mind, we are considering various options -- including the idea that the possibility of spin-offs would be fun.
