Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 is one of the most highly-anticipated sequels premiering in the Fall 2024 anime season, and today, a new trailer has been released that previews the opening theme song, QUEEN, performed by LiSA. It's been confirmed that the ending theme song is titled Dancer in the Dark Night by otoha. The second season will run for 2 consecutive cours beginning on October 13. Previously, the staff revealed two additional cast members: Yuka Terasaki as Akane Akitsu, and Natsuki Hanae as Ceecrue. Akane is described as another player marked by one of the The Seven Collosi, while Ceecrue is her helper who comes from Rabituza. The two characters are featured in the new visual below:

Shangri-La Frontier Season 1 also ran for 2 consecutive cours from October 2023 to March 2024. Toshiyuki Kubooka returned to direct Season 2, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is worked on the series composition. Kurashima Ayumi is the character designer and chief animation director, and Hirokawa Keiichi, Takada Ryuichi amd Takahashi Kuniyuki produced the music for the anime .
What is Shangri-La Frontier about?
Shangri-La Frontier anime is based on the fantasy web novel series written by Katarina. The manga adaptation was illustrated by Ryosuke Fuji, and it has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2020. Kodansha USA licensed the series in English, and Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired in Japan. The streamer shared a story description for Shangri-La Frontier:
