Shaman King’s story continues with the new anime series Shaman King: Flowers. But instead of seeing Yoh Asakura again, the show will be about his son, Hana Asakura, this time. And to give fans a glimpse of what they are about to see, the anime has dropped its first trailer and additional cast who will give life to the characters they are about to meet.
Shaman King: Flowers is a sequel to the 2021 series Shaman King. It is based on the spinoff manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei, serialized in Shueisha’s Jump X from April 2012 to October 2014 with six tankōbon volumes. Now, a new anime is set to begin with Hana in the lead.
The anime’s official website has dropped the new trailer that starts with flowers and introduces Anna’s son, Hana. It then shows Luca Asakura, who has been holding a grudge against the Asakura family. From there, it features the other characters that will give life to the series, like Tamao, Arumi, Gakko, Namaha, Kuro, and more. You can see the Shaman King: Flowers trailer below:
Shaman King: Flowers Additional Cast
Aside from the series’ first preview, the site also revealed the new voice cast members. Fans will soon hear Ami Koshimizu as Luca, Kentarou Itou as Daikyou Oboro, Kenta Miyake as Ichihara Ryuji, Chihiro Ueda as Namaha, Nana Mizuki as Tamao Tamamura, Takumu Miyazono as Ponchi, and Noriaki Kanze as Konchi.
They will join the earlier announced main cast members, Youko Hikasa as Hana Asakura, Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru, Sumire Uesaka as Alumi Niumbirch, Shun Horie as Yohane Asakura, Michiko Kaiden as Gakko Ibuki, and Romi Park as Tao Men. If you find Hikasa’s voice familiar, it is because he used to voice Yoh.
What is Shaman King: Flowers about?
Shaman King: Flowers will tell the story of Hana, Yoh and Anna’s son, 16 years after the Shaman Fight in Tokyo 2000. Hana is now a grown-up man but becomes a lazy and brutal kid. He does not care about his studies, skips classes, gets into fights, and is bored with life.
However, things will change when other members of the Asakura family, Yohane and Luca, arrive to challenge and kill Hana and Yoh to take their place. From there, Hana will learn the power of the Flower of Maize, a proxy battle between Hao and the previous Shaman King YVS. You can read the synopsis below:
