Sex Education may have ended with a fourth season, with no possibility of Season 5 coming, but fans are in for a treat. Sure, viewers may still feel brokenhearted not seeing Otis and the rest of the gang on the small screens again, but Netflix has a new series to unveil, Everything Now, which is very much like the recently concluded British series.
Sex Education Season 4 serves as the final installment for the beloved series. It recently hit Netflix on September 21 with eight episodes, seeing the end of the Moordale Secondary students’ coming-of-age tales after starting new lives at Cavendish Sixth Form College. But despite that, fans still have something to look forward to—a new show called Everything Now.
According to the show’s creator, Ripley Parker, Everything Now focuses on many British teenagers' mental health issues, especially food and body image. Though it may begin differently than Sex Education, it has several familiar beats to the fan-favorite series.

What is Everything Now about?
Everything Now is another British teen show that Sex Education fans may love. Originally titled F*ck-it Bucket, it tells the story of Mia Polanco, a 16-year-old teenager from London who creates a bucket list after returning home from the hospital following her recovery from an eating disorder. As she’s now back into the chaotic world of sixth-form life, she later finds out that her best friends have continued their lives without her.
Thankfully, she still has three best mates and a new crush, to whom she plans to complete her bucket list. She wants to create a lot of firsts, from world parties to first kisses. However, she will learn she can’t plan everything along the way.

Will there be Sex Education Season 5?
Sadly, there may be no chance that Sex Education Season 5 will be made. The show’s creator, Laurie Nunn, told Tudum it was already “the end as we know it.” Officially, its fourth season is its final season. Though the playwright and other writers didn’t plan it that way, she said everything started to feel very clear when they wrote the series. “The stories were coming to an end,” she said.
The characters were already in a place where Nunn felt good for them. She also felt like she had said everything she wanted to say about these characters. Though this really means goodbye, Nunn has given every Sex Education character a proper send-off.
Everything Now will premiere on October 5 on Netflix. Sure, nothing can replace Sex Education’s story, but this new show is worth a try.
