The official website of the TV anime adaptation of Yuri Kitayama and Riv's Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles light novel series has revealed that the show's second season is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, October 7, 2024 (effectively October 8 at 1:30 AM JST). A new teaser trailer has also been released, and it previews Aguri Onishi's opening theme song, titled Auftakt. The ending theme song, Haru Machi Uta, is performed by Nanaka Suwa. Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 is air on TV Tokyo, BS Fuji, and AT-X in Japan. The anime will stream starting on October 8 at 2:00 a.m. in Japan on U-NEXT and ABEMA. Other streaming platforms in Japan will air the series starting on October 10.

TMS Entertainment, the studio in charge of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 1, is back to produce the animation for Season 2 with WAO World. Osamu Yamasaki is serving as both chief director and series composer, Hiroshi Kubo as director; Kyoko Yufu is the character designer and chief animation director, and Yasayuki Yamazaki is the music composer.

What is Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles about?
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is based on the isekai light novel series written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv. Hobby Japan acquired the series and published it under its HJ Bunko imprint since October 2015. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by tenkla and was serialized online via Hobby Japan's Comic Fire website from October 2016 to February 2017, but was discontinued due to the artist's poor health. A second manga adaptation, which has been serialized online via the same website since 2017, was released, and it was illustrated by Futago Minaduki.
