Recently, a GTA 6 “leak” went online, featuring an area of the game's map, and has managed to grab the community’s attention. However, you might notice the word "leak" is in quotation because it isn’t quite in the clear yet. There’s a high chance that it isn’t real, but who knows?
Previously, the Red Dead Redemption 2 map was leaked online before it was officially revealed, and nearly everyone believed it to be fake. But, as it turns out, it was actually quite real. We don’t think the same thing will happen with this GTA 6 map, but you can still keep it in mind.
A Twitter account called GTA 6 Spam shared what appears to be a leaked map, but note that the account has zero track records of any leaks in the past. That is our first red flag, but it isn’t that big of a deal. Many significant leaks have been revealed by some mysterious users with absolutely no track records.
Furthermore, when GTA 6’s early design was leaked last year, parts of the game’s map, or at least its early build, were among some of the things that were revealed. The latest leak simply tries to add to these leaks in order to create a new one.
In the leak, you will notice that the map’s left side was featured in the initial leak. But the right part, which consists of lesser lines than the left part, is fairly new. The cherry on top is that, as it turns out, the image is AI-generated because it is noticeably different. In addition, a couple of signs indicate it’s an AI picture, such as the weird text.
Currently, there aren’t any ways to confirm if the leak is real or fake, but the signs point towards the latter. So, you shouldn’t take this seriously since it's unofficial and most probably fake.
According to rumors, GTA 6 will most likely be revealed next year, but Rockstar Games hasn't made any official announcements about when they will reveal new information about the highly-anticipated sandbox game.
