The second part of Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 is about to kick off in early February 2025 with premiere of Episode 9, and it's set to start the Counterattack Arc of the anime based on Tappei Nagatsuki's light novel series. The first part of Season 3, which covered the Attack Arc of the series, ran for 8 episodes and concluded on November 20. And now, a new trailer has been released for the the Counterattack Arc ahead of its February 5 premiere. The official website of Re:Zero also revealed preview stills and an official synopsis for Season 3 Episode 9.
The second cour will also have a total of 8 new episodes, and the trailer previews Natsuki Subaru and the gang's intense battles against Regulus, the Sin Archbishop of Greed and the other villains. Studio White Fox is back to produce the animation for the second half of Re:Zero Season 3. Masahiro Shinohara is directing the new season, with Masahiro Yokotani as the series composer, Haruka Sagawa as the chief animation director/character designer, and Kenichiro Suehiro as the music composer.

Where to Watch Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 9
New episodes of Re:Zero Season 3 will air every Wednesday from the first week of February 2025 and they will be available to stream on Crunchyroll as they air in Japan. Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 9 is scheduled to release on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 7:30 AM Pacific/10:30 AM Eastern (3:30 PM BST in the UK). Season 3 has a total of 16 episodes split into two cours, so we can expect eight more new episodes this year.

Re:Zero-Starting Life in Another World- (Japanese: Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) anime is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novels written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Ootsuka. The third season will consist of 16 episodes, adapting the Attack arc and Coutnerattack arc with 8 episodes each. The Counterattack arc is set to premiere on February 5, 2025.

A year has passed since the liberation of “The sanctuary”, where Subaru Natsuki defeated Elsa and fulfilled his contract with Beatrice in the battle against the Great Rabbits. Emilia camp was united as they faced the royal election, and Subaru Natsuki was living a fulfilling life, but the peace and quiet came to an end with a single letter delivered by a messenger. The letter was from Anastasia, one of the candidates for the royal selection, to invite Emilia to the Watergate City of Priestella, one of the five largest cities in Lugunica. Accepting the invitation, Subaru and his party set off for Priestella, where a variety of reunions awaited them. One unexpected, one unintended, and one to come. The stirrings of malice writhing beneath the surface of the water and an unprecedented crisis loom over them. Once again, the boy faces a cruel fate.
