The TV anime adaptation of Tappei Nagatsuki's Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- light novel series recently made its big return earlier this month, continuing to adapt the Attack Arc. In the previous episode, there's a threatening influx of Sin Archbishops in the city of Priestella. Regulus Corneas, the Sin Archbishop of Greed, saved Emilia from Sirius Romanee-Conti and shamelessly proclaimed that Emilia would now be his wife. Now, fans are wondering what protagonist Natsuki Subaru will do next.
Today, the official website of the anime has shared a teaser trailer and preview stills for Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 4, which is titled The City Hall Recapture Operation, and it's expected to feature Subaru coming with a plan to rescue Emilia from Regulus Corneas, who remains a major threat. Garfiel and Mimi came to the square in front of the city hall in search of the children of Raela, who had gone out to play and had not returned. There they found dozens of cut-down Priestella guards lying on the ground. The two giant men with two large swords who had caused that tragedy, and the witch cultists with their single-edged swords, stood in front of them. The vicious laughter of Capella Emerada Lugunica, the archbishop in charge of the witch cult’s deadly sin, “Lust,” echoed through Priestella.

Hiroyuki Tsuchiya is directing Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 4, with a script written by Eiji Umehara and storboard by Yasuaki Fujii. Seon-Yeong Song and Yuuki Morikawa are this episode's animation directors. Studio White Fox animated the first two seasons of Re:Zero, which premiered in 2016 and 2020, respectively, with Season 2 having a split-cour format (the second cour premiered in July 2021). The opening theme song is titled Reweave, performed by Konomi Suzuki; the ending theme song NUX LOX, is performed by MYTH & ROID ED.
Where to Watch Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 4
New episodes of Re:Zero Season 3 will air every Wednesday from October 2, 2024, and they will be available to stream on Crunchyroll as they air in Japan. Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 4 is scheduled to premiere on October 23, 2024 at 7:30 AM Pacific/10:30 AM Eastern (3:30 PM BST in the UK). Season 3 has a total of 16 episodes split into two cours, so we can expect five more new episodes this Fall 2024 anime season, while the remaining eight episodes are expected to release in the Winter 2025 anime season.

What is Re:Zero Season 3 about?
Re:Zero-Starting Life in Another World- (Japanese: Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) anime is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novels written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Ootsuka. The third season will consist of 16 episodes, adapting the Attack arc and Coutnerattack arc with 8 episodes each. The Counterattack arc is set to premiere on February 5, 2025.

A year has passed since the liberation of “The sanctuary”, where Subaru Natsuki defeated Elsa and fulfilled his contract with Beatrice in the battle against the Great Rabbits. Emilia camp was united as they faced the royal election, and Subaru Natsuki was living a fulfilling life, but the peace and quiet came to an end with a single letter delivered by a messenger. The letter was from Anastasia, one of the candidates for the royal selection, to invite Emilia to the Watergate City of Priestella, one of the five largest cities in Lugunica. Accepting the invitation, Subaru and his party set off for Priestella, where a variety of reunions awaited them. One unexpected, one unintended, and one to come. The stirrings of malice writhing beneath the surface of the water and an unprecedented crisis loom over them. Once again, the boy faces a cruel fate.
