The director of Reptile, Grant Singer, made his directorial debut with this film after having directed only commercials and music videos in the past. Singer, Benjamin Brewer, and Benicio del Toro also co-wrote the entire screenplay from a story that the filmmaker wrote with Brewer. Moreover, apart from being creative behind the scenes, Del Toro also worked in front of the camera, playing the role of the main lead in the movie, Detective Tom Nichols.
Reptile Plot & Cast
Reptile follows the story of an exhausted yet hardened police detective who somehow finds himself solving a murder case of a youthful real estate agent. However, as he uncovers more secrets and continues to dig deeper into the case to reveal the truth, he sees that his own dark side is coming up, and his personal life begins to unravel. Suddenly, he comes across the realization that nothing is really how it might look like.
