The anime adaptation of Kogitsune Kanekiru's Re:Monster light novel series premiered in the beginning of this month, introducing fans to the monster isekai fantasy. The official preview stills, synopsis, and teaser for the fifth episode have been revealed, giving us a look at what's next for Goburo and his goblin friends (and maybe enemies). Re:Monster Episode 5 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 29, 2024, and it's titled Re:Ady. The episode will see Goburou extract information from a soldier about the invasion of the human army, and it looks like the story is building up to their battle against the humans. The synopsis also reveals that Gobumi and other goblins evolve into a new species. You can watch the teaser for Re:Monster Episode 5 from the official X account of the anime below:

Studio DEEN is in charge of the animation of Re:Monster TV anime, with Takayuki Inagaki (Birdie Wing -Golf Girls' Story-, Chio's School Road) as the director while Hiroshi Yamaguchi (To Heart, Comic Party, ToHeart2) is working on the series composition. Other staff includes Junichi Takaoka as the character designer, Go Sakabe as the music composer, and Norito Kondo as the director of photography.
What is Re:Monster about?
The Re:Monster light novels are written by Kanekiru Kogitsune. While Naji Yanagida illustrated the Dark Continent series, Yamaada illustrated most of the volumes of Re:Monster. The monster isekai fantasy series started in 2012 and as of 2017, it had 10 main volumes. Prior to the light novels, the series was published as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. The Dark Continent arc volumes began in 2018 and as of 2020, it had three volumes.

Re:Monster Episode 2 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll on Monday, April 29. The first season of the anime is confirmed to have a total of 12 episodes, so that means fans can expect eight more new episodes to arrive in the Spring 2024 anime season. As for the Japanese broadcast, it will begin streaming on U-NEXT/Anime Hodai. Broadcast will also begin on TOKYO MX on Thursday, May 2, 2024.
