Re:Monster Episode 2 Anime Preview Shows Goburo's Battle With The Parent Generation

The new generation of goblins will fight against the parent generation in Re:Monster Episode 2.

The anime adaptation of Kogitsune Kanekiru's Re:Monster light novel series premiered on April 1, 2024, introducing fans to the monster isekai fantasy. The official preview stills, synopsis, and teaser for the second epsiode have been revealed, giving us a look at what's next for Goburo and his goblin friends (and maybe enemies). Re:Monster Episode 2 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 8, 2024, and it's titled Re:D bear. The episode will see Goburo having a problem with goblins capturing human females for breeding purposes, and the synopsis promises a battle between the parent generation and the new generation of goblins with Goburo.

The synopsis for Re:Monster Episode 2 reads:

Goburo, who has ranked up, evolves from a goblin to a hobgoblin, takes on the role of a coach for other goblins of the same generation, and as he begins training, goblins of his parent's generation who have gone to work as migrants arrive in a cave. They have been capturing human females for breeding purposes, but this is unacceptable to Goburo. So Goburo asks to be left in charge of the treatment of humans, but even his parents are angry because a newborn Goburo is telling them this. And so, the battle between the parent generation and the new generation begins...

Studio DEEN is in charge of the animation of Re:Monster TV anime, with Takayuki Inagaki (Birdie Wing -Golf Girls' Story-, Chio's School Road) as the director while Hiroshi Yamaguchi (To Heart, Comic Party, ToHeart2) is working on the series composition. Other staff includes Junichi Takaoka as the character designer, Go Sakabe as the music composer, and Norito Kondo as the director of photography.

The Re:Monster light novels are written by Kanekiru Kogitsune. While Naji Yanagida illustrated the Dark Continent series, Yamaada illustrated most of the volumes of Re:Monster. The monster isekai fantasy series started in 2012 and as of 2017, it had 10 main volumes. Prior to the light novels, the series was published as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. The Dark Continent arc volumes began in 2018 and as of 2020, it had three volumes.

Where to Watch Re:Monster Episode 2

Re:Monster Episode 2 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll on Monday, April 8. The first season of the anime is confirmed to have a total of 12 episodes, so that means fans can expect eleven more new episodes to arrive in the Spring 2024 anime season.
