Today, it was announced that Yushi Ukai and Nekometaru's Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table light novel series is officially getting an anime adaptation, and it's currently in production. The news was announced in a special video, produced by Kafuu of Argument Studio and narrated by voice actress Rie Takahashi. The announcement video introduces Yuki, the protagonist of the series, and shows glimpses of the death games featured in the light novel series so far.

The Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table anime is clearly in its early stages of production as no further details about the project have been revealed. More information about the action anime's premiere date, cast, animation studio, staff, and theme songs will be announced at a later date.
What is Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table about?
The upcoming TV anime is based on the Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table light novel series written by Yushi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometaru. The series began publication under Media Factory's MF Bunko J light novel imprint in November 2022. Volume 9 is scheduled to release in Japan on September 25. It also received a manga adaptation illustrated by Banzai Kotobuki Daienkai, and it began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's Comp Ace magazine in April 2023.
