Blizzard Entertainment has finally revealed a roadmap for Overwatch 2 Season 6, along with its latest Support hero Ilari. Overwatch 2’s epic Invasion update will officially release on August 10 and is one of the biggest updates that Blizzard’s shooter game has witnessed ever since its early access launch in October 2022. For a long time now, Blizzard has been busy having its fair share of fun by teasing fans with what they might expect from the game’s Invasion update.
This massive update will introduce Overwatch 2’s first-ever PvE story missions, add the new PvP Flashpoint mode, and also release the latest Support hero known as Ilari. Players can see all of these contents and much more in the latest Overwatch 2 Invasion update trailer, which also features a brand-new roadmap that shows what fans might expect from Season 6. You can see the trailer below:
The major detail that excited Overwatch 2 players was the addition of the new Support Hero, Ilari. In the trailer, players can see some of the hero’s abilities, but Blizzard hasn’t yet revealed any specific information regarding her powers and the stuff she can do. The Overwatch 2 trailer also provides players with a peek at a couple of skins they can unlock in the brand-new Season 6 Battle Pass as well as the latest Flashpoint maps that fans can explore from August 10.
In addition to the Invasion update releasing on August 10, Blizzard has also revealed an entire roadmap for Overwatch 2 Season 6. From August 10, gamers can expect to see a brand-new limited-time event known as Underworld that will be weekly updated from August 10 till September 5. The mode’s first update will occur on the famous King’s Row map.
On September 5, Blizzard will introduce the Hero Mastery missions, which will provide some hero-specific challenges in order to help players practice the skills and abilities of different characters. This helps them master different heroes and enhance their skills. The upcoming Overwatch 2 Season 6 and the Invasion update are going to be epic, and Blizzard is making sure to go all out with this one. Hopefully, it'll live up to the hype!
Overwatch 2 is available to play in early access on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, PC, PS4, and PS5.
