Today, the official website of Oshi no Ko has revealed a teaser video, preview stills, and official synopsis for Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 6 (Episode 17 overall), which is titled Growth, and it's expected to feature the stars of the Tokyo Blade 2.5D stage play showing off their talents. We're about to find out who's the better actress between Kana and Akane, but they're not the only ones fated to evolve in this play. We can expect Aqua, who has been considered talented as a child, to get his moment to shine, while his co-actor-Melt, is troubled as he doubts his abilities. The synopsis also teased a secret that Aquahas given to Melt.

The official synopsis of Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 6 reads:
Studio Doga Kobo returned to animate Oshi no Ko Season 2, and the official website revealed that the main staff of Episode 6 includes Tanaka Jin on screenplay, Satomi Watanabe as the chief animation director, Amooosie on action animation supervision, Hirayama Hirona on character drawing supervision, and Cat Tomi Chao on storyboard, direction, and color script. The animation directors are Emi Yamamoto, Haruka Inate, Satomi Watanabe, Junichiro Taniguchi, Kimiaki Mizuno, Ayaka Muroga, and Noritaka Tateguchi.

What is Oshi no Ko Season 2 about?
Oshi no Ko anime is based on the manga series of the same title written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum's Wish). The series has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump while Manga Plus digitally publishes the official English version of the manga. Yen Press publishes the English physical editions of the manga.

Where to watch Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 6
Just like the first season, Oshi no Ko Season 2 is currently available to stream on HIDIVE, so you can watch the sixth episode on the platform when it premieres on August 7, at 11:00 pm JST on TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, TV Hokkaido, AT-X, BS11 TV Aichi and other networks across Japan. According to the home media release listing for the new season, there will be a total of 13 episodes released across six Blu-ray and DVD launches in Japan, and with five episodes already out, that means we can expect 8 more new episodes to arrive in this Summer 2024 anime season.
