Aqua will discover Goa's scriptwriting talent during his date with Akane in Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 3.

The tension between Tokyo Blade play's scriptwriter Goa and original author Abiko seems to keep escalating, as Abiko wants to take Goa off the project. With rehearsals now suspended, Aqua and Akane will be going on a date in the next episode of Oshi no Ko Season 2 to watch a 'Stage Around' play. Today, the official website of Oshi no Ko has revealed a teaser vidoe, preview stills, and official synopsis for Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 3, which is titled Rewriting, and it's expected to feature Aqua's date with Akane, which will lead him to appreciate Goa's scriptwriting talent. The official synopsis of Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 3 reads:

Akane guided Aqua to the theater where "Tokyo Blade" was being performed for the first time. Aqua was impressed by the work that GOA wrote and became convinced of his abilities. And then she took action!

Studio Doga Kobo returned to animate Oshi no Ko Season 2, and the official website revealed that the main staff of Episode 3 includes Tanaka Jin on screenplay, Daisuke Hiramaki on storyboard and direction, Hirayama Hirona on character drawing supervision, and Cattomi Chao on color script. Yokoyama Honoka is the chief animation director, and the animation directors are Kimiaki Mizuno, Atsushi Soga, and Yokoyama Honoka.

The main Japanese voice cast of Oshi no Ko includes:

  • Rie Takahashi as Ai Hoshino

  • Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine Hoshino

  • Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino

  • Megumi Han as Kana Arima

What is Oshi no Ko Season 2 about?

Oshi no Ko anime is based on the manga series of the same title written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum's Wish). The series has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump while Manga Plus digitally publishes the official English version of the manga. Yen Press publishes the English physical editions of the manga.

Aqua's desire for revenge takes center stage as he navigates the dark underbelly of the entertainment world alongside his twin sister, Ruby. While Ruby follows in their slain mother's footsteps to become an idol, Aqua joins a famous theater troupe in hopes of uncovering clues to the identity of his father—the man who arranged their mother's untimely death, and the man who once starred in the same troupe Aqua hopes to infiltrate.

Where to watch Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 3

Just like the first season, Oshi no Ko Season 2 is currently available to stream on HIDIVE, so you can watch the third episode there when it premieres on Wednesday, July 17, at 11:00 pm JST on TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, TV Hokkaido, AT-X, BS11 TV Aichi and other networks across Japan. According to the home media release listing for the new season, there will be a total of 13 episodes released across six Blu-ray and DVD launches in Japan, and with two episodes already out, that means we can expect 11 more new episodes to arrive in this Summer 2024 anime season.
